Product Overview | EnCinema Static 35mm Adapter

The EnCinema static 35mm adapter. This adapter seems to be your standard DIY adapter utilizing the macro tubes suggested by the tutorials found at jetsetmodels.info. It does not appear to use a achromat or macro of any kind (which helps improve focus, vignetting, and distortions; judging by the footage the EnCinema suffers from chromatic aberration, surprisingly not so much from vignetting). I am unsure what type of ground glass is being utilized, but my guess from looking at the setup guide it is a Canon EE-S or EE-Screen (EnCinema setup guide). If you're in the market for static adapter I would suggest first comparing this unit feature, footage, and price-wise to the DIY35mmPro (aka Twoneil adapter) or the Jag35-S.

I really like the look of this footage, but the colors definitely seem like they're affected. Particularly with rack focus of the water bottle to the boy @ the pool, it looks a whole lot like 8mm. Why could this be?

Hi Justin, The footage on this EnCinema 35 adapter montage was color graded. That is why it has an aged look. Not because of the adapter effecting the colors.
