Resources | JetSetModels.info Site Updates

One of the most helpful resources and product offering for the DIY static and vibrating adapter crowd has been JetSetModels.info.

Recently added to the site is a online application, the "DOF O-Matic | Parts List Wizard" which allows the user to build a custom parts list based on a few options. Check it out here.

Also added is a great new PDF tutorial on condenser lenses here.

Product Overview | M8M Spinning 35mm Adapter

From Russia comes the M8M spinning 35mm adapter. The M8M has some very nice demo footage and appears to be a solid unit. The claims on their website are somewhat skewed, as it states the adapter allows your camera to shot in 35mm cinematic mode...as we know an adapter allows you to utilize 35mm lenses on your digital video camera by projecting the image and your camera records that projected image...so it does not allow your camera to go into cinematic mode, but offers a more cinematic look to your footage through a more shallow depth of field. Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up as being lost in translation. For more information visit the M8M 35mm Adapter site.

Product News | Jag35 Spinner in the works!

Seems like the Jag35 adapter line is constantly growing. Last month I announced a couple of new additions to the Jag35 adapter line and now there is yet another addition coming...a spinner! Why is this exciting news? From my experience spinners (when done right) can produce the best footage out there. They can hide imperfections and dirt on the ground glass as well as produce a nice moving grain...providing more of a film effect. With a target price of $325-375, why wouldn't one get excited. To keep up to date on the JAG35 SP visit Jag35.com. Check out the first spinner footage below...has some issues, but I am confident they will be worked out.
