Another look at the Jag35SP spinning 35mm adapter.

With the prices and specs of high-end cameras coming down and the ability to shoot video on many DSLRs...35mm Adapters have lost some luster. Still those high-end camera prices may be lower, but they are still hefty. Camera's like the Red Scarlet that was just announce will still run you $10,000 and upward. DSLRs are awkward to film video with unless you purchase a pricey rig...not to mention severe rolling shutter and high compressed video which results in artifacts and lower quality. You can get great video from a consumer HD camera like the Canon HVXX cameras and a 35mm adapter. No matter which you choose they all have their downfalls, but the latter is relatively the best quality for the price. With that, JAG35 now makes a ton of accessories...many now aimed at DSLRs, but they still make a mean spinning 35mm adapter that won't break the bank. Below is some footage using the adapter.
